In Nevada, what you pay turns on how far you travel in the state. Because distance is part of it, a short crossing of Nevada costs less than running its length.

Over 102 inches wide or 80,000 lbs gross, a load needs a permit in Nevada as it would anywhere. Height, trailer length and axle weight are where states differ, and here is where Nevada sits.

- Nevada allows 14' of height. The strictest states stop at 13' 6", so a load that needs a height permit in those may be legal here.
